OH MY GOD!!! The controversy - 2

Its been around one and a half years I suppose I wrote about the much debated modern era topic Gods.  OH MY GOD!!! The controversy - 1.  Well this 2nd article is solely about sharing my understanding on crores of gods that exists in my country that I have learnt in this time duration.
Honestly its amusing to see that we have a god for everything. Energy- Lord Shiv/Parvati, Son of Air- Hanuman ji, Rain - Indra Dev, Water - Ganga Maiyya, Knowledge - Saraswati ji and the list may go on  and on. Why I say it is amusing is because just imagine -- After I get up in the morning, I pray to the Sun God for all the light energy it provides to Earth which is a primary cause of life on this planet. Then I pray to the Annapurna devi for the food available to fill the stomach, pray to our very own parents and get blessings from them for its they who raise us with so much love and affection till we are of age and further, pray to Saraswati ji for the all the learning and knowledge, pray to laxmi ji for all the needed wealth and prosperity just before starting our office or work. Praying just to express that I am grateful to the existence of all of these or rather not forgetting their importance in my life. A mere going to the temple/gurudwara/mosque and bowing down to the idols in front should mean the same.
Adding to this, its probably known to all that we have 24 Tirthankars in Jainism. Interestingly, each Tirthankar is attached with one animal each like snake, ox, cow, lion etc. The tradition of giving the day's first cooked food to some bird or animal is but one of the many ideas to make sure we treat even the animals of our planet with love, care and respect. The beauty is that with practice it makes a person very considerate and respectful towards all the things it comes in contact with in a day. So in all, as I see it, the wisdom is to treat every bit of nature with care and respect right from something as far as Sun to the very trees in front of us because of which we breathe etc. To be careful of not wasting/harming any part of nature because its all mutual when it comes to a healthy happy existence.
Somehow today, a majority of us who have been imparted with modern education(thanks to our parents) and who have been born and brought up in this modern India, have been silently taken far away from the beauty of such thought processes. Modern thoughts like how can someone believe in Gods and its dumb and illogical to believe in something that cannot even be seen etc is very prevalent. But the underlying fact is that its a very strong and rational thought that has been passed down to us through our ancestors. By mere being a bit more compassionate towards our surroundings actually in the name of respect for gods, we could actually change the dire situation our planet has been put into of course in the name of the mistaken modernity.
