LORD KRISHNA is smart.

I actually had very high expectations with the last 15 days that just passed. They were very crucial with respect to preparation of my CAT exam due on 6th nov.
I was indeed preparing good for the last 2 months, day in night out, with just one goal (CAT) in an otherwise vacillating mind. Things were going as planned and everything seemed to be in my control and with which I was pretty content and happy. I just needed to consolidate all that I had prepared and assemble every scattered  tips and lessons under one umbrella for which I was sure the remaining 2 weeks would be ample.

Generally when everything is going butter smooth, ppl get premonition, how can everything be so good?. I have observed this thought conjuring out of several minds(including myself) in good fluent situations. Probably a human tendency.

This time I had no such feeling and should I say I was wrong?. :)
Past 2 weeks unexpectedly and ufortunately were very horrible both physically and mentally.
I started feeling weak, tired and sick , unable to conc on my studies and was performing very poor in the practise mock tests. This got me worried as 3-4 days had passed and my health was not improving nor my scores. Simultaneously I had commenced medical checkups and blood tests. And before I could understand why my studies is getting hampered with reasons beyond my reasoning(As I was not feeling bedridden and sick), blood test reports indicated I have been  infected with dangue and the next day I found myself admitted in a hospital. A lightning fast twist indeed.

I got admitted on 1st of the month and as a couple of days passed I was bewildered Why dengue to me and that too with hospitalization just before exams. When will I recover. How many days will this go. I was preparing all so well. Completely focused on my goal, kept my mind distraction less. Everything was going on fine then why such a problem. Why just to me. It could have been a simple fever. A mild sickness and back to normal. It was such an important time of my life, the deciding times.
I could have come out with flying colors in this exam and so would have got a good hope for a bright career. Why do I have to be put to test again and again and again. Everytime I try to stand up on my feet, I am forced to fall back on ground. Why does every problem has to crop up in my life only. How long do I have to climb up on the side of this mountian of mine. Am cursed. Am meant to be a failure.Blood stops flowing to my brain, darkness around my eyes, head banging aloud and I faint breathless right back on my bed.

Luckily none of this happened to me or rather I never let any negative unwanted thought process embark in my already tormented sick mind else it would have left a bitter taste and melancholy for weeks to come.
All long I was content that I did my homework well until before falling to dengue and hence just wished that doctors allow me a temporary discharge depending on my health conditions so that I appear for the exam and return back to hospital. I was fortunate and was permitted :).

And I could do all this just because long back in school days I had a hindi lesson which started with this statement "Karmanye Vadhikaraste, Ma phaleshou kada chana" which meansYou have the right to perform your actions, but you are not entitled to the fruits of the actions. Which seems to suit perfectly in my situation . Just do your work in your reach and leave the rest for good. How simple. It took me all these years to actually understand the inside story of the statement and to inculcate it in my thought process for a right view of healthy and happy living.
Perhaps KRISHNA knew very well that its human tendency to have dark negative thought process at bad times and many even would start cursing god for poor happening in their lives. To curb all such mental remorse, sorrow, pain, agony which might otherwise lead to action of aggression, revenge etc only he summed up the ans in just one statement I suppose. Depends on us to follow. When I think even deeper about this, I must say "LORD KRISHNA is smart" indeed.

  1. bahut sahi be...good thought. There is always a good and pure logic to back positivity but what about negativity, is there any logic to back it!!( i.e. is it good to be negative sometime??) because I read somewhere that there is no day without night!
( To remain 'positive' and 'happy' every hour of the day will take away the essence of both, let negativity and sorrow occupy some of our time to understand what happiness is. Failure is not the synonym of sorrow as being successful does not imply that you are happy. Failure, success, sorrow, happiness, negative, positive!! are just the states of mind which keeps changing, don't stop it, it helps to evolve us.

  2. Yes. I agree totally to the fact that if negatives are not felt, positives loses its worth. The night and day example is suitable. You say 'let negativity and sorrow occupy some of our time'. but is it the real case?. are we not dragged more and more into the world of enigmatic sadness even with the slightest negativity in our mind? And why think negative first of all when even without it, we can actually feel happiness, positivity etc. We always switch on lights in darkness and night and never do the vice versa thats simply because we always want to keep darkness at bay by any means. One last point is I believe we all have had observed and felt the negatives very minutely and I dont think it should be allowed any more room as we understand positive vibes, happiness etc very well. not?

  3. My sole point of discussion is, we should stop seeing negative as a wrong or bad word it needs equal importance as positive.Back in past "left was considered sinister" and right as "dexterous". This happened because of our oblivious nature( we used to follow rather than evolve). Now again we are in the middle of similar issue, as you said "I believe we all have had observed and felt the negatives very minutely and I don't think it should be allowed any more room".
You too believe that you had experienced negatives and learned what are positive vibes! but why to limit to only " minute negatives" do we want to learn only minute?. We should not stop here there is long road to go observe failure, sorrow, negative keenly so that you who know who to defeat. I feel we cannot seek the answer until we know the question. To feel more happiness let feel some sorrow.

  4. Well. As you have mentioned having a positive or negative feeling is purely a human nature. Every person gets these feelings. Sometimes you keeping doing good work, put you all effort and still you fail. Then you ask this question why me ?
No one can answer that. there is no guarantee for success.
But one thing is very certain that you can not just stop doing hard work in fear of failure.
Giving our best is always in our hand and that we all should do.This is the only way to success.

I understand what Akash means to say here is Success and failure, positive and negative, these things are always relative. Different people have different meaning of it. Few people take failure as a leaning moment and lean something from it. Being negative is not bad. It balances you. There is always a positive and negative aspects of every single happening. Both give you different views on same happening. A broad way to look into the things.
